Dear 4th Grade Parents,
Greetings and a Happy Lent (less than 12 hours away)!!!!  There are a couple of things I wanted to inform you about.
1. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday; Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the Lenten Season and during the Lenten Season St. Joseph School participates in the Rice Bowl Collection.  The Rice Bowl is an offering of loose change and dollar bills collected by churches and parish schools, the money is given to people (many of third world countries) who have very little or nothing.   I have challenged the fourth grade class that if they bring in $150 as a class I will treat them to a pizza party or $350 to a pizza and ice cream party.  It is not a requirement.  Please do not fill obligated.
2. Thursday, February 14, 2013 is our Valentine’s Party.  Each 4th grader needs to bring individual Valentines for each of their classmates.  There are 15 students in the 4th grade class.  On the “from “part of the valentine please have your child sign their name.  I have been informed that snacks and drinks have been taken care of.  THANK YOU MRS. OLIVIERI.  Our class Valentine’s Party will take place Thursday, February 14 at 2:30p.m.  We would love for you to join us!!!
