WEEK of MAY 21-25

MONDAY-FRIDAY:
All week, we’ll be working in Writing Workshop, looking at poetry, writing and talking about our writing. The goal is to finish four (4) pieces before the end of the year. We have some work to do.

In addition, students will be reading one more novel on their own. They’ll write two (2) letters to me about their reading, one due FRIDAY.

Lastly, we’ll take time out now and then to talk about annotating poetry, and to write short essays about poems.

INDEPENDENT NOVEL ESSAYS are DUE THURSDAY!!!

MONDAY-FRIDAY.
  This is a week of transition as we move from the debate back to the book and the study of WWII and the Civil Rights Movement. DEBATE IS WEDNESDAY. Book work will be assigned on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday nights.
