I hope you've had a great summer and are ready to get back to school! I know I am!

These are just a few odds and ends:

Clorox/ Lysol wipes: We’d love to have a supply on hand to clean desks as often as possible. Please send in what you can.

Book Covers: All hardback books need to be covered at all times. While you can use paper covers, we suggest the stretchy fabric covers. They stay on all year and protect the books. Since our books are so large, you will need to use the large size covers. Here are the dimensions, in inches, of the books that need covers (paper or fabric):

Writer’s Express:  9¼ x 6¾ x ¾
Health:  11 x 9 x ¾
Ohio History:  11¼ x 8 ½ x 1

Student/Parent Surveys: Your child can fill out the top of the form and you can complete the bottom. This will help us get to know the children. Please return the form tomorrow.

Agendas: These should be filled out each day. In addition to daily assignments, students need to record the current book they are reading, the pages read each night, and the weekly spelling words. Parents need to sign the agenda each Thursday (same day as the take-home folder).

Birthday Treats: Birthdays are a big deal, as you well know. We prefer students share their treats during our lunchtime (11:25). Pre-packaged snacks are excellent and easy for students to distribute. Homemade treats such as cookies are wonderful too. Please do not send in anything that needs to be cut before serving. Napkins should accompany the birthday treats. Please also keep in mind those students who have dietary restrictions. We’d like everyone to be included in the treat!

The fourth grade Curriculum Night is Monday, August 27th at 8:00 P.M. We are looking forward to a wonderful year filled with learning, laughter and love. If you have any questions, feel free to call or email us.
