Things to note when looking at grades:
If an assignment is out of 3 points - this assignment was not collected, yet students are given credit for having the assignment completed when requested.
-
If a 3 is given, the assignment was completed on time.
-
If a 2 is given, the assignment was misssing or incomplete when requested and was turned in by the following class day.
-
If a 1 is given, the assignment was missing or incomplete when requested and was turned in more than one day after.
-
If a 0 is given, the assignment is still missing or incomplete.
If a M is written, that means the student was ABSENT when the assignment was completed or turned in. Once the assignment is turned in or made up, the grade will be entered. Another option for when a M is written means the student was in class, yet the assignment is late and will be taken for a grade, not counted for completion.
If an E is written, that means the student is EXCUSED from the assignment since they were not there for class and cannot make-up the work. They will not be penalized for not completing the assignment. (This typically applies to lab assignments.)
