Tuesday, April 17

  • Students should continue to follow their individualized assignment sheets to determine their responsibilities for the week
  • Students who did not compete at State will be editing a Value Book section from a peer
  • Students who competed at State will be working on CNFL responsibilities: critiquing/performing a DP or submitting two LD briefs
  • All students will be reading their Congressional packet of information and writing a summary paragraph

Thursday, April 19

  • All students participate in a discussion regarding the CNFL debate topic
  • Resolved: The United States ought not to intervene in the political processes of other sovereign nations.

Friday, April 20

  • Due: Value Book edits, DP critiques, LD briefs and Congressional paragraph
  • Edits to be handed back next week for final revisions

Tuesday, April 24

  • Students should continue to follow their individualized assignment sheets to determine their responsibilities for the week
  • CNFL LD Competitor: Rough draft of aff and neg cases due
  • Redistribute Value Book edits to original authors
  • Discuss overall themes for revision before the final submission on Friday, May 4
  • Give out legislation to be researched for Congress session

Thursday, April 26

  • Last week to submit Value Book assignments for last review or suggestions before the final submission date
  • Complete a practice Congress speech for a peer
  • Make sure the critique paper is submitted for credit to both speaker and the person critiquing
  • Critiquing student should also ask questions to be answered by the speaker
  • Due: Outlines for ½ the Congressional legislation

Tuesday, May 1

  • Final week to prepare for Value Book assignments
  • Review rubric distributed before Easter Break before final submissions
