• Independent projects will continue throughout March, until just after the State competition
• Students who are still competing at State should follow their individualized instruction sheet for guidelines on assignments until that tournament
• For students not competing, their weekly assignments are as follows:
• Assignment 1: 2 Extemp Articles, one main topic area and one minor
• Because the state extemp students will be competiting on Thursday, if your extemp articles are submitted by Tuesday in class, you will be excused from one of the following two assignments.
• Assignment 2: Final copy of one page summary of the value
• Assignment 3: Two more final briefs (opposed or supporting)
• Practice individual events in class
• Students watch and critique a peer
• State competitors practice for Mrs. Mahan

Thursday, March 22

• Independent projects will continue throughout March, until just after the State competition
• Practice extemp speeches in class
• Students watch and critque a peer
• State competitors practice for Mrs. Mahan

 Friday, March 23 

• Independent projects will continue throughout March, until just after the State competition
• Collect homework folders with weekly assignments
• Students no longer competing, see Assignments 1 – 3 above for the week to determine what is to be submitted on this date

Tuesday, March 27

• Independent projects will continue throughout March, until just after the State competition

• Assignment 3: Two more final briefs (opposed or supporting)
• Final practices for students competition at state
• Students encouraged to turn in extemp articles today, to assist State competitors

Thursday, March 29 (out with students competing at State)

• Ms. Jen will be in class today to work with the class.  Students will be unable tow work on their projects in class and should plan accordingly.
• Independent projects will continue throughout March, until just after the State competition
• Collect homework folders from weekly assignments
• Ms. Jen will collect folders, or they can be put in Mrs. Mahan’s box in the front office for submission
