On Wednesday, March 11, 2015 the 4th graders have an exciting opportunity to attend an Educational Concert Series performance of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra at the Max M. Fisher Music Center, downtown.

The performance is Beethoven Lives Upstairs – Over 30 excerpts of Beethoven’s best-loved works underscore two actors performing a fully-staged play in combination with Detroit Symphony Orchestra, lighting, sound and period costumes.

A school bus has been arranged to take the students to the 10:30 a.m. concert.  The bus will leave Akiva at 9:15 a.m.  Return to Akiva is approximately 12:30 p.m.  Lunch will commence upon return to Akiva.  Hot lunches will be held until the students get back.

This is a very fun experience for the students.  Please fill out the attached permission slip and return it to Alexandra Newman (or you can return to to Mr. Graham and I will submit the forms) at Akiva no later than Friday, February 27.

A hard copy of the permission slip has also been placed in your child’s backpack for your convenienc. There is also a copy attached.
